Privacy Policy

Effective October 19, 2026.

Who we are

Sit Stay Dog Training USA operates the Sit Stay client portal to manage dog care and training records, evaluations, reservation requests and service estimates. This policy explains how information is handled through the portal.

Information we collect

We collect the information you provide when creating an account and using the portal: your name, email, phone numbers, address, emergency and travel contact details; your dog's identifying information, care routines, behavior and training information; vaccination and veterinary documents; waiver acceptance records and signed copies; evaluation decisions, reservation dates, special schedule requests and service estimates. Our authentication and hosting providers also process session information and technical request or error logs needed to operate and protect the service.

Provide only information relevant to your dog's care. Make sure you have permission to share emergency contacts and documents containing another person's information.

How we use information

We use information to provide account access, maintain individual dog records, review readiness and evaluations, manage requested and confirmed services, calculate estimates, communicate about your account and care arrangements, and maintain service security and reliability. We do not sell personal information or use Google Calendar data for advertising or to train general-purpose AI models.

Google Calendar connection

The Google Calendar integration is for the authorized Sit Stay business account. Clients are not required to connect their own Google calendars. With authorization, the integration identifies the connected account by email and can read, create, update and cancel appointment events on calendars owned by that account. Sit Stay uses this access to synchronize evaluations, confirmed stays and arrival or departure reminders.

Event information includes the dog's name, service, dates, times and operational event identifiers. Veterinary documents and signed waiver files are not attached to calendar events, and the integration does not send client invitations. The app targets its own events rather than unrelated calendar entries. Authorization tokens are stored encrypted by the application.

Sit Stay's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only to provide and maintain the calendar feature, not for advertising, resale, unrelated profiling or general AI training.

The business account owner can revoke access through Google Account connections. Revocation stops future authorized access; it does not automatically delete events already saved in Google Calendar or service records in Sit Stay. Contact us to request removal of stored connection information or related records.

Who processes information

Authorized Sit Stay staff access information needed for their work. We use Netlify to host the application, Supabase for authentication, database and file storage, and Google for the business calendar integration. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or to address fraud, security incidents or protection of rights.

Storage, retention and protection

We use authenticated access, restricted document access and encrypted calendar credentials to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Records are retained as needed for care and service administration, signed agreements, resolving disputes and applicable recordkeeping obligations. We have not set a single automatic deletion period for all record types. Deletion requests are reviewed individually, and some records may need to be retained; backups and provider logs may remain for their normal retention periods.

Your choices and requests

You can review and update available account and dog information in the portal. Email us to request access, correction, account closure or deletion. We may verify your identity before acting and explain any records that must be retained. If a request concerns another person's data, you must be authorized to act for them.

Cookies and local storage

The portal uses authentication cookies and browser storage for sessions, security, app preferences and interface behavior, such as remembering an animation has played. Blocking essential storage can prevent sign-in or other features from working. This portal does not currently include advertising trackers.

Children and changes

The portal is intended for adult customers and authorized business staff. It is not directed to children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information. When this policy changes, we will update its effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
